SleepMed of SC is an accredited full-service sleep center with three sleep physicians, two nurse practitioners and a dedicated team of technologists and care coordinators specializing in sleep disorder diagnostics and treatment.  Sleep consultations, diagnostic testing and treatment is typically covered by most insurance companies and SleepMed of SC has provider status with virtually every type of payer in this area.  Providing sleep medicine care to those of every age – from premature infants to the elderly – the Center’s team diagnoses and treats thousands of patients from the Midlands of South Carolina every year. 

Board Certifications & Affiliations  
Our three sleep physicians are board certified in sleep medicine, pulmonary medicine, critical care medicine, internal medicine and/or neonatology.  Additionally, we are affiliated with a group of reputable specialists in the local area that may be involved in some aspect of a patient’s treatment -- specialists such as:  neurologists, cardiologists, otolaryngologists (ENTs), dental surgeons, psychologists, psychiatrists, etc. 

  
Over Twenty Years of Experience
Established in 1982 under the medical direction of Dr. Richard K. Bogan, the center provides “quality of life” and “life-saving” solutions to thousands of patients suffering from one or more sleep disorders each year.  Dr. Bogan was one of the first physicians to become board certified in sleep medicine and his center was one of the first to become accredited by the American Academy of Sleep Medicine in the 80's.
